Natural Fabrics

We only use all natural fabrics.

Hemp

As a crop, hemp is exceptionally environmentally positive. It requires around 50% less water to grow per season than conventional cotton, and can grow in a range of soils at high yield. This plant is also extremely durable and pest resistant so requires low to zero pesticides.

Fibres are taken from the stem and stalk of the cannabis plant, softened in water, broken up and spun or woven into fabric.

As a textile hemp is biodegradable, versatile and long-lasting. It's also hypoallergenic, breathable and UV resistant, perfect for the Aussie climate!

Bamboo

This fast-growing grass can be very sustainable - it requires no fertiliser or pesticides and self-regenerates from it's own roots, so it never needs to be replanted.

The bamboo fibres are combed out and spun into thread

It is impossible to estimate the number of native animals that have perished or how many more will be lost in the fires, or to predict the impact that dire food and water shortages, as well as habitat loss caused by the fires and drought, will have on wild populations."
